Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Register to Vote

You can register to vote online here until October 10. Afterwards, Same Day Registration (SDR) opens at all Early or Election Day voting locations. Please bring proper ID to update your voter registration or to register to vote. Bring a photo ID and a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, student identification card or other government document, including identification issued by an Indian nation, tribe or pueblo that shows your name and current address.

Absentee Voting by Mail
Tuesday, October 8—Tuesday, October 22

You can request an absentee ballot now! It is easy to request your absentee ballot online. Ballots will be mailed out beginning on October 8. You can track the status of your absentee ballot here

Returning your absentee ballot is also easy. You can:

  • Return your ballot by mail, using the pre-paid return envelope.

  • Hand deliver your absentee ballot to any Early or Election Day polling site beginning October 19 through election day on November 5. 

  • Drop off your ballot at one of two locations, found here.

On Tuesday, October 8, you can vote In-Person (Absentee) at the Clerk’s Annex at 1500 Lomas Blvd NW, Suite A (Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm until October 19). This then becomes an Early Voting location, see below for days, hours.

The last day to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you is on Tuesday, October 22. All completed absentee ballots must be received by 7pm on election day, June 4. If you still have your absentee ballot on June 1, we strongly encourage you to hand deliver your ballot to a Voting Convenience Center rather than mail it. 



Expanded Early Voting
Saturday, October 19—Saturday, November 2

There are 20 Early Voting Convenience Centers in Bernalillo County. Early Voting centers are open from Monday through Saturday, 10am to 7pm. All Early Voting Locations can be found here.

The Early Voting Locations closest to  House District 20 are: 

  1. Four Hills Shopping Center – 13140 Central Ave SE, Suite 1420, Albuquerque, NM 87123 

  2. Tijeras City Hall – 12 Camino Municipal, Tijeras, NM 87059
